Seamer Gus Atkinson Adds to England's Injury Problems.
'Major setback' for the touring side as Atkinson is forced off suffering a hamstring problem.
The pace bowler added to England's injury problems upon exiting the field early on day two of the fourth Ashes Test against Australia.
Atkinson felt a problem in his hamstring post-delivery in his spell during the morning session.
The touring camp indicated the 27-year-old had experienced "tightness" and was to take time away from the action to undergo evaluation "over the next few hours".
The series decider in this Ashes battle in Sydney starts on Sunday, 4 January.
England have previously lost strike bowlers Mark Wood due to knee trouble and Jofra Archer to a side strain on the current trip.
A replacement bowler was added to the party as cover for Wood.
The seamer had a tough time in the opening two Tests, claiming a mere three wickets.
He was omitted of the third Test, before being recalled for the Melbourne Test as Archer's replacement.
Atkinson performed better in the fourth Test, bagging two scalps during the host's first knock, and scoring 28 runs with the bat being one of only three English batsmen to get into double digits.
Following a brief spell in Australia's second innings, he returned for the second day's play and removed Scott Boland Scott Boland caught behind.
Yet, towards the conclusion of that over, he bowled a variation to Travis Head and immediately felt his left hamstring.
Atkinson was brought back for the fourth Ashes Test having missed the Adelaide game.
