Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Goes Live This Week as a F2P Experience

After months of speculation, the battle royale experience for Battlefield 6 is finally releasing. The latest rumors suggesting its release would happen alongside Season 1 were true. Gamers can dive into the gameplay starting in just a day.

Launch Season Adding a New Map, Mode, and Guns

Together with the battle royale mode, the new season is also starting. This introduces a new map, a fresh game type, and new weapons. On top of that, this new sector is arriving. An included trailer will become available at go-live, providing gamers a preview of what's to come.

F2P Model Allows Battle Royale Available to Any Player

Perhaps the key announcement is that Battlefield Redsec will be complimentary. Much like popular titles, you do not need to buy the main title to play. Several participants have already tried alpha versions of the mode. Those playtests were run in Battlefield Labs, which the studio described as their most ambitious fan involvement project.

The adrenaline rush during encounters with enemy players is unique in other last-man-standing mode. It seems life or death, and you genuinely worry if you die or survive.
Despite being a skeptic previously, I'm now supportive of the new mode since trying it.

Such first feedback from players have been very positive. Certainly, the mode may have been adjusted over the past couple of months in terms of tuning and tempo. But, first impressions are positive that Redsec could become a real alternative to popular offerings. Players are expecting that the best guns from the base title will carry over in the new mode.
